Hailuo AI Free Credits: No More Daily Credits, Just a 3-Day Pack

Nothing is wrong with your account. As of November 2, 2026, the free plan on hailuoai.video includes 0 credits a month: the Hailuo AI pricing page describes Free as "One-time free trial credits," and the Hailuo AI Video Subscription Service Terms say accounts registered on or after June 18, 2025 get a single welcome pack that expires three days after it's granted, one pack per user. If your account is older and used to collect daily bonus credits, those have stopped too. Users began reporting it on Hailuo's subreddit about a year ago, and Hailuo has never published a date for the change.

So "no more free credits" is only half true. A new account still gets one pack, 150 credits on the sign-up banner on November 2, 2026, which buys about 21 seconds of MiniMax H3 video at 768p (four 5-second clips) with a watermark on every download. Once it's spent, you have three ways forward: the Standard web plan ($8.40 a month billed yearly, or $14.99 month to month, for 1,000 credits), MiniMax H3 through an API at $0.05–$0.08 a second if you can write code, or one of the tools in Best Free Image-to-Video AI in 2026: What Is Actually Free? that still refill free credits every day or month.

Why Hailuo daily credits stopped: a one-time pack replaced them

Hailuo replaced recurring free credits with a single sign-up pack, and the change applies to every free account, not just yours. The subscription terms, last updated July 14, 2025, put it this way: "New users who register an account on or after June 18, 2025 will receive a one-time welcome package of free credits. These credits will expire three days after being granted. This offer is limited to one package per user." Nothing in the terms describes a daily or monthly free allowance, and the Free column on the pricing page showed "0 credits per month" on November 2, 2026.

What you saw depends on when you signed up. If you created your account after June 18, 2025, the credits on your first day were the welcome pack, and when the three days ran out nothing replaced them. If your account is older, you may remember a small top-up each day. Free users on r/HailuoAiOfficial started the thread "has hailuo AI stopped Daily Bonus Credits?" about a year ago, and it grew past 230 comments. The top reply at the time blamed a temporary credit-system problem, but the current pricing card lists no daily or monthly free credits for any free account.

When the balance reaches zero, Hailuo's web app shows messages such as "You've run out of your credits," "No active membership · 0 credits left," or a short "Insufficient credits" notice. They all mean the same thing: the balance is empty and no refill is scheduled, so logging out, switching browsers or waiting until tomorrow won't bring credits back.

What a free Hailuo account gets as of November 2, 2026

A free Hailuo account is now a three-day trial on Hailuo's own models, with watermarked downloads and a short queue. The table compares it with the cheapest paid plan, using Hailuo's pricing page and creation panel as they appeared to a logged-out visitor on November 2, 2026, so it describes the published plans rather than the inside of a signed-in free account.

The bigger plans scale the same credits up: Pro is $54.99 a month or $30.40 a month billed yearly for 4,500 credits, Master is $119.99 or $71.20 billed yearly for 10,500, and Max is $184 a month billed yearly for 27,000. Hailuo's sidebar and its own blog mention plans from $9.99 a month, but no plan on the pricing card carried that price on November 2, 2026, so go by the card.

How many videos 150 Hailuo sign-up credits make: about four clips

On November 2, 2026, the sign-up banner on hailuoai.video read "Get 150," and the creation panel priced MiniMax H3 at 7 credits a second at 768p and 12 credits a second at 2K. That makes 150 credits worth about 21 seconds of 768p video (150 ÷ 7 = 21.4) or 12.5 seconds at 2K (150 ÷ 12). The banner amount has changed over time, so check the number on yours when you sign up.

To get the most out of three days, test prompts at 768p and 4–5 seconds, and spend 2K only on the shot you actually want to keep. A generation that fails, or fails Hailuo's content review, has its credits refunded under the terms, so a failed attempt doesn't eat into the pack. The panel doesn't show logged-out visitors what Hailuo 2.3 or H3 Max cost, so read the credit figure next to the Generate button before you spend on those models.

How to get more free Hailuo credits: only time-limited promotions

There's no recurring way to earn free Hailuo credits as of November 2, 2026. The welcome pack is limited to one per user, and none of Hailuo's own pages, including the pricing card, the payment terms and the sign-up banner, list a promo code. What Hailuo does run are short promotions announced on the site itself: a past one gave every logged-in user 200 credits that were valid for five days. The site banner is the only place to watch for the next one, and there's no schedule to count on.

Two other "free credits" offers are not Hailuo's free plan. MiniMax's separate MiniMax Design app advertises 3,000 credits for new users on Hailuo's top bar, but the banner doesn't say which models those credits cover or when they expire. Sites with "Hailuo" plus "free credits" or "unlimited" in their names sell or give out their own credits for MiniMax models, so their limits are theirs, not Hailuo's. Within Hailuo itself, unlimited generation exists only on the Max plan, and only for Hailuo 2.0 and 2.3.

What MiniMax H3 costs after the free credits: $0.05–$0.105 a second

After the pack runs out, every route to MiniMax H3 costs between $0.05 and $0.105 per second of 768p video as of November 2, 2026, and which one fits depends on whether you write code and how many seconds you make in a month. Web plans include Hailuo's editor, watermark-free downloads, Veo 3.1 and Sora 2; API routes have no web interface, because your code submits a generation task and polls until the video is ready.

The web rates come from the plan price divided by 1,000 credits, times 7 credits a second: $8.40 ÷ 1,000 × 7 = $0.059 and $14.99 ÷ 1,000 × 7 = $0.105. At 2K the same math gives $0.101 a second billed yearly and $0.18 monthly, against $0.13 on MiniMax's API and $0.08 on LaoZhang API. If you don't write code, start with Standard month to month: $14.99 covers about 28 five-second 768p clips, and a web plan is the only route here that keeps Hailuo's editor and lifts the free plan's watermark. Move to yearly billing only if you'll use most of the credits every month for a year, because $100.80 is paid up front. Pro billed yearly brings 768p down to $0.047 a second, but it costs $364.80 up front. If you can call an API, per-second billing means you pay only for the clips you request, with nothing tied to a monthly cycle.

As of November 2, 2026, LaoZhang API's model list (GET /v1/models) includes MiniMax-H3. You call it with POST /hailuo/v2/video_generation and fetch the result from the matching query endpoint, at 4–15 seconds and 768P or 2K. Its guide says it runs H3 on its own deployment of MiniMax's open model weights rather than through MiniMax's API, that failed tasks are refunded, and that video links stay up for 7 days. Hailuo AI free credits: other questions

Do I lose my Hailuo sign-up credits if I subscribe during the three days? No. The FAQ on Hailuo's pricing page says a membership "stacks with all new user perks," so buying Standard before the welcome pack expires adds the plan's 1,000 credits on top of what's left of the pack. The pack itself still expires three days after it was granted.

Can I cancel a Hailuo plan and get a refund? You can cancel at any time, but Hailuo's subscription terms (last updated July 14, 2025) say the cancellation "will take effect at the beginning of the subsequent billing cycle, and no refunds shall be issued for payments already made." On yearly billing, the full $100.80 for Standard is gone once you pay, even if you stop using it in the second month.
